Pamela Grace S. Tarrayo
Introducing Ms. Pamela Grace S. Tarrayo, an esteemed educator whose passion for music and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to our school community. With an impressive background and a wealth of accomplishments, she brings extensive knowledge and experience to the classroom. Ms. Tarrayo holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Music with Academic Distinction and a Master of Arts in Music Education, specializing in Woodwind Pedagogy and Bassoon Performance, completing 24 units of study. With over eight years of orchestral performance experience, she has participated in more than 40 concerts throughout Luzon and Visayas as part of the Christ the King College Youth Symphony Orchestra. Notably, she performed at the closing mass of Pope Francis at the Quirino Grandstand with the CKC Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Tarrayo is also recognized for her exceptional skills in arranging music. Her orchestral arrangement of the World Apostolic Congress Theme Song was featured in CBCP News, and she arranged and produced the Waray-waray translation of the theme song for the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines, preserving local traditions. In addition to her teaching role in the Department of Education since 2018, Ms. Tarrayo is a freelance private music teacher, specializing in piano, basic music theory, violin, viola, cello, and woodwind instruments, particularly bassoon. She actively contributes to her community as a church pianist/accompanist and choir conductor. Ms. Tarrayo’s coaching and music production talents were showcased when she won a province-wide Waray-waray Christmas Songwriting competition in 2022, inspiring and guiding aspiring musicians and composers. With her exceptional educational background, extensive performance experience, achievements in music arrangement, and dedication to teaching and community service, Ms. Tarrayo is an inspiring figure to her students and colleagues.
